The United States Navy Band to Perform in Muskegon



Muskegon – From Washington, D.C., the United States Navy Band under the direction of Capt. Brian O. Walden will present a free concert hosted by Muskegon Community Concerts at the Frauenthal Center in Muskegon on Saturday, March 18 at 7 pm.

Julie Stuberg, President of Muskegon Community Concerts said, “We are thrilled to sponsor the U.S. Navy Band at the beautiful Frauenthal Theater. This is an opportunity to hear some of the finest musicians in our nation.” Stuberg continued, “We are excited about a special honor for members of our local high school bands who will be joining the Navy Band on stage in a performance of John Philip Sousa’s ‘Washington Post March.’ This is an event you won’t want to miss!”

Abbey Trach, flute – Mona Shores HS

Brian Krause, trombone – Reeths-Puffer HS

Damion Glover, oboe – Fruitport HS

Erika Larson, percussion – Orchard View HS

Karoline Glamzi, alto saxophone – Whitehall HS

Maddie Brown, trumpet – Montague HS

Madison Turner, bassoon – Reeths-Puffer HS

Morgan Dillingham, horn – Muskegon HS

Olivia Machnik, trumpet – Mona Shores HS (German Exchange student)

Sean Lynn, clarinet – North Muskegon HS

Sydney Theile, tuba – Ravenna HS

Zack Burham, percussion – Orchard View HS

The Navy Band will present a variety of popular and classical favorites. This special performance by the Navy’s premier musical organization is part of the Navy Band’s national tour. The band performs frequently at the White House and the U.S. Capital Building and has participated in 22 presidential inaugurals.
